Pearl's Reference One series established the benchmark for modern hybrid drum sets and snare drums, and the Reference One Snare Drum raises the bar even further. It all starts with a 5.4mm EvenPly 6-ply shell made of North American maple and birch, which combine for optimal cut, volume, and tonal balance. Mastercast die-cast hoops enhance these drums' natural attack and cut while also providing tuning stability.

Single swivel STL100 lugs provide Pearl's least amount of direct shell contact, maximizing natural resonance and sustain. The SR1000 glide lock snare strainer has a locking throw off lever and a quick push button release, together with Ultra-Sound "I" and "D" type snares for tremendous sizzle and dynamic response. Finally, each Pearl Reference One snare drum comes with a Remo USA Coated Ambassador and a Clear Ambassador for the batter and resonant heads, so it's ready to play right away.
